Teacher Academy Students Compete at Annual Educator Rising State Conference

Forty-four students from all four Olentangy high schools competed at the annual Educator Rising state conference at Capital University, March 8-9. The Educator Rising state conference organized 28 different kinds of teaching competitions, such as impromptu speaking, lesson planning, research, and visual design, and presentations about teaching for high school students exploring teaching careers. Over 900 students from Ohio’s high schools competed at the conference.  

Below are the awards that Olentangy's Educator Rising chapter received:

  • Honors Chapter - Based on overall chapter GPA and service work throughout the year.
  • First Place, Chapter Display - All students contributed to this effort, the team was lead by Ardyn H. (LHS), Lone S. (OHS), Lauren M. (OHS), Emma W. (LHS) and Brooke E. (BHS).

Ohio Educator Rising Individual/Team Competitions - students placed in the Top 10 across the state of Ohio, Qualifying for National competition:

Twenty-three of the 44 students participating qualified for the national competition in Orlando this summer and two students won state only-competitions. Congratulations to these outstanding students!
